Enter the age of chivalry in this elegant chess variant (originally called Smess). Unlike chess, movement of pieces is determined by the direction of the arrows shown in each square (most have more than one permitted direction). There are three types of piece: King, archer and knight. Kings and archers can only move one square per turn but knights can move any number of squares (in a permitted direction). Like chess, the goal is to capture your opponent's King. The fact that both players can "see" all possible moves to and from a square can make the game more difficult than at first glance.

Information about Parker Brothers
The George S. Parker Company was formed in Massachusetts in 1883. When Charles Parker joined his brother in the game publishing business in 1888, the company's name was changed to Parker Brothers. The company remained family-owned until 1963, when it was acquired by General Mills. In 1985, General Mills merged the company with their subsidiary Kenner; this new company, Kenner Parker Toys, was acquired by Tonka in 1987. Tonka, including Parker Brothers, was bought by Hasbro in 1991.
Parker published enduring titles such as Monopoly, Risk, Careers and Escape From Colditz. Undoubtedly, they were one of the world's finest games producers. Arguably, they were the best.
