Press Coverage

The Big Game Game

"Wildlife Rescue is the first game from new company Dice Maestro, who aim to combine the portability of travel games with the sophisticated play of a standard board game. The rules are simple: you have to throw the six wildilfe-iconed dice three times to obtain three or more of the same species. If you are successful, you take a card marked with the same species. The cards all have a different value depending on how difficult they are to obtain, and bonuses are available. You can also steal cards from other players. It is very entertaining, comes in a compact package, and 10 percent of profits go to charity, so you're supporting a good cause, too."

Conservation's The Name of the Game

"Entertaining the children needn't cost the earth. You can get new games such as Wildlife Rescue for about a tenner. The game is played in its box - the size of a typical hardback novel - so it can be played virtually anywhere.

The great thing about the game is it's easy to pick up. Each of the players takes the role of a conservation officer trying to save as many endangered species for their zoos as possible. This is done by collecting the highest scoring hand of wildlife cards, which is achieved by rolling six wildlife dice. These feature animal symbols representing the eight critically endabgered species featured on the cards, each of which has its own score.

The environmentally aware among you may be interested to know that the game is made entirely in the UK, uses some biodegradeable materials and ten percent of profits are donated to ARKive, a charity raising awareness of endangered species throughout the world."
